The Cartographic Base for the national territory at a scale of 1:250,000 (BC250), which is part of the SIGBRASIL project, is a pioneering initiative in Brazil developed by IBGE. It serves as a cartographic reference for planning, monitoring, and updating information on the country's natural resources. The new scale (where 1 cm on the map equals 2.5 km on the ground) allows for much more detailed visualization than the previous 1:1,000,000 scale. The BC250 is available in shapefile format, which can be used in geographic information system (GIS) programs at the link:
