Before installing or updating ArcGIS Pro on a virtual or physical machine, we should always check if our system meets the minimum requirements to run it. Additionally, we need to know what resources are recommended for optimal performance.
You can check here the hardware specifications for the latest versions of ArcGIS. However, you can use the free tool provided by ESRI to check if your computer has the minimum recommended configuration.
Just click here and click on the black icon labeled “CanYouRunIt?”. It is a small tool that will run in your browser and will inform you in a complete report in seconds whether the hardware and software of your system are compatible, as shown in the image below (from a computer that passed the test):

PS: When you click to run the tool, you will be prompted to execute a tool called Detection.exe:

Note: According to ESRI, nno personally identifiable information is collected; It works on Windows XP, 2000, 2003, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10; It works with Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Edge browsers, Java is not required.
